Editorial standards

Our editorial standards: how guides are researched, fact-checked, credited and updated over time.

What we aim for

Useful, specific guides: the street, the neighbourhood, the named restaurant — not generalisations. We avoid generic numbered lists and formulaic titles.

How a guide is made

  1. Selection: we choose destinations using travel data such as air connectivity and seasonal price patterns.
  2. AI-assisted drafting: the first draft is generated by AI following a structured editorial brief.
  3. Automated checks: the text is scanned for broken sentences, empty formatting, and titles with years or repeated formulas.
  4. Official sources: in practical planning blocks, transport, ticket and accessibility details are checked against official sources, linked, and dated.
  5. Corrections: when an error is reported to us or we find one, we correct the guide.

Use of AI

We use AI to draft guides and say so openly. AI makes mistakes, which is why practical blocks cite their sources and we recommend confirming times and prices with the operator before you travel.

What we won't do

  • No pay-for-play
  • No urgency patterns: no countdown timers or scarcity warnings
  • No uncredited images: we credit the photos we use

Editorial independence

Affiliate partnerships fund the site. Commission rates do not decide which destinations we cover or what we recommend.
